Description
Too often I hear the electrician make the remark, “I don’t know the code that well, but I do my work correctly.” My reply is, “If the code is the minimum standard in which you can install the wiring, and you don’t even know the minimum, how do you know you are installing it correctly?” Focus on the Code is a great way to learn the rules that apply in your daily work, and the recent electrical exam questions.
Start by listening to the first CD #1 as I start at the beginning with Article 90 and go over some Articles and sections of the Code book where the troublesome questions come from on the exam. Later, on a CD, I will tell you it’s time to start working your 50 question exam. After completing the exam I will go over the answers on the CD.
The following 50 questions will take the electrician and student to the areas often used in their daily wiring methods in the field.
The 50 questions are asked “Which of the following is FALSE?” These 50 questions are to be answered open book using your National Electrical Code Book. Of the four choices in each question, there will be three TRUE and one will be FALSE. By answering these type of questions, I personally feel this is the best way to learn the Code rules. You need to write the Code section for EACH choice, so each question will have four Code sections for you to locate and record. Over 3 hours of audio on 3 CD’s, and a 50 question booklet. Based on the 2008 Code.Item #812 – Focus On The Code Audio CD’s
