A new Article in the 2020 NEC
Article 311 - Medium Voltage Conductors and Cables
Article 328 from the 2017 NEC was deleted, and its contents were
relocated to a new Article 311, "Medium Voltage Conductors and Cables."
This new article also incorporates requirements for medium voltage
cables and conductors rated over 2,000 volts, which were formally
located in Article 310.
The scope of Article 310 has been
revised and is now limited to not more than 2,000 volts. Requirements and ampacity tables
for conductors over 2,000V have been relocated into a new Article 311.
The new
Article 311 will include the installation, construction, and ampacities
for medium voltage conductors and cable (Type MV). Previously covered
in different articles (310 and 328), the information has been combined
into one new article.
|
I feel with the new Article 311, exam questions will
start asking about your knowledge of equation. One must
first understand how the equation
is applied.

Improve your understanding of the design, installation and
operation of computer data centers, including electrical power, HVAC
systems, controls, and computer rack layouts. Learn how to comply with
the codes, plan for growth and changing technology, implement test
procedures, improve energy efficiency, and coordinate with consultants,
contractors, and IT professionals.
Identify the codes and standards that
apply to designing data center electrical distribution systems. Data
centers are among the hottest developments in the technology world. The growing needs of the
Internet of Things have forced the biggest players in the computing
world to spend billions of dollars on new multi-megawatt data centers.
•Excellent study-aid book
for electrical engineering students and teachers of the National
Electrical Code. Two exams with answers as a summary.
