The Electrical Dictionary Workbook by Tom Henry

Electrical dictionary workbook

Part I General of the 2020 NEC has 220 definitions.

Part II Over 1000 Volts has 17 definitions.

NEW Part III Hazardous (Classified) Locations of the 2020 NEC has 55 new definitions.

Article 100 has a total of 292 definitions.

Why do students need to build strong vocabulary foundations? It's pretty difficult to speak any language if you dont know the words.

Will Rogers said it best, "You can't come back from a place you've never been." I believe in this. If you have never been there (seen or learned the meaning of a word) how do you expect to understand the question and answer it correctly? You can't come from someplace you've never been. The books I have written will take you there.

How can you answer the question if you don't know what the words are asking?

As the electrician reads an exam question they must be able to understand what the word, letter, symbol means. Many electrical words are from the Greek origin.

Vocabulary builds over time. It develops with reading and with specific instruction. A good vocabulary helps you to develop your comprehension skills and master a language. When you take the effort to understand unfamiliar words, you actually try to understand the entire context in which the word is used.

Included in this book "The Electrical Dictionary Workbook" are 3 Open Book exams from definitions essential to the application of the National Electrical Code book and over 535 questions from 67 quizzes that include commonly defined general terms or commonly defined technical terms from related codes and standards.

67 QUIZZES WITH 536 QUESTIONS with ANSWERS

The answer pages are perforated for easy removal from the book so it can be used in classroom study.
